Job Description

JOB SUMMARY   
The Accounting Systems Analyst is a vital member of the team responsible for supporting the Global Accounting and Finance teams’ use of Diamond Resorts financial reporting applications. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for ensuring Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) application data is kept current and mirrors data found in Diamond Resorts’ Oracle R12 financial system.
  • Runs, monitors, troubleshoots, and fixes Financial Data Management/Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) data loads supplying data to EPM applications.
  • Maintains logic of FDMEE mapping.
  • Runs the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Consolidation process during financial closes.
  • Develops financial reports and books needed by the Finance and Accounting teams to support internal and external reporting requirements using Essbase and Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Develops and maintains schedules for the automatic distribution of Financial Reporting reports.
  • Builds and upholds internal controls to ensure reporting produced from Diamond Resorts’ HFM environment is accurate and matches to the Company’s financial system of record.
  • Maintains security access for Essbase cubes and reports.
  • Provides end user assistance and training to Finance and Accounting teams in their use of Essbase, SmartView and Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Works closely with the Finance and Accounting team to understand and prioritize issues and reporting requirements.
  • Documents and performs initial assessment of issues raised to team and resolve if possible.
  • Meets regularly with senior team members to review escalated issues, determine training needs and new development requests.
  • Assists with regression testing system changes.
  • Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) testing and assists in the creation of test case documents for business users.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum three (3) years of experience in the finance field required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • This position does not require licenses or certifications.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Proven ability to implement financial systems and/or develop financial reporting for a large, multi-national company.
  • Working knowledge of a chart of account structure, currency translations, financial consolidations and high level accounting concepts; and how these impact the administration of a financial reporting application and the creation of balance sheet and income statement reporting.
  • Familiarity with running financial consolidations.
  • Proven abilities with HFM, FDMEE, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, SmartView for Office at a prior employer.
  • Proven abilities developing financial reports using multi-currency Essbase cubes using Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Must be familiar with building, troubleshooting and loading data via FDMEE.
  • Able to communicate effectively, work independently, manage various demands and tasks in an organized manner and show an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Understands how to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
