Job Description

JOB SUMMARY   
The deck attendant oversees the general upkeep, cleaning, maintenance, and organization of the pools, waterslides, spas, and pool deck areas, including but not limited to, the set-up of pool furniture and pool towels while ensuring the safety and security of the pool area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Ensures the safety of members, owners, and guests.
  • Complies with all company, state and federal policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Inspect the pool and surround areas, provide feedback to management as needed.
  • Recognize and immediate report all potential emergency situations.
  • Stores chemicals and supplies in accordance to Company, State, Federal policies.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the pools and surrounding areas.
  • Responds to calls and questions from members, owners, guests and departments.
  • Engage with members, owners, and guests during activities.
  • Completes “towel window” duties as assigned.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 
EDUCATION
  • Less than a high school education.
EXPERIENCE
  • No prior experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • This position does not require licenses and certifications.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
