Job Description

Under general supervision, the Lifeguard is responsible to regulate the pool areas to ensure the safety of members, owners, and guests while adhering to federal, state, and local ordinances.

  • Recognize and respond effectively to all emergency situations.
  • Inspect and monitor the pool and surrounding areas and report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Follow daily schedules and assigned work rotations.
  • Complete records and reports as necessary.
  • Store chemicals in accordance to the Company, federal and state mandates.
  • Clean and organize the pool deck and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to calls and questions from team members, members, owners, and guests.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Less than a high school education.
  • No prior experience or training required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.


  • CPR/AED Certification (Adult, Infant, and Child Rescue).
  • Professional Lifeguard Training Certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to swim, perform water activities and rescues.
