JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction, the Off Property Ambassador (OPA) Team Lead is responsible for supporting the Off Property Contact (OPC) Manager in driving and increasing tour flow by assisting with all external marketing activities at the designated location(s).  The Team Lead provides direct supervision of Lead OPA Agents, OPA Agents and Marketing support team members and implements strategies to develop, train, and recruit OPA team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assists in hiring, counseling, coaching, training and managing Off Property Contacts.
  • Assists management in achieving/exceeding departmental monthly budgets.
  • Assists with implementing department initiatives to increase productivity while maintaining a positive demeanor and work environment at all times towards guests and team members.
  • Initiates and suggests plans to motivate team members to achieve monthly and annual tours and sales goals.
  • Ensures team members are using Company-approved scripts at all times when speaking to guests.
  • Provides relief for team members on breaks as needed.
  • Responsible for individual production, consistently achieving established production standards as outlined in department compensation plan.
  • Generates sales tours for each resort entity.
  • Communicates the customer needs and interests to management so the company will continue to change based on the market’s needs.
  • Communicates information to prospective clients regarding the area’s locations and activities.
  • Ensures OPA team members and locations represent high standards of quality:  appropriate and approved work attire on at all times, practice good hygiene for individuals, and professional appearance and organizational cleanliness of locations.
  • Ensures OPA team members consistently have all tools and collateral to perform their job stocked at their respective locations.
  • Responsible for attending all In-House, Regional, and staff meetings and trainings, as requested by management.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum two (2) years of experience in the vacation ownership field required.
  • A minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in the marketing and vacation ownership field required. 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides immediate supervision to direct reports.  Oversee and controls the work performance of others in a close working relationship, often in the same room or close proximity.  A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks similar to those performed by direct reports.  May participate in the interview, selection and training processes, as assigned.  May be responsible for assigning work to direct reports, reviewing results in accordance to policies and procedures, and providing recommendations to management.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • This position does not require licenses or certifications.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
