Job Description

The Regional Marketing Trainer performs and implements daily training at local and regional levels within the Business Sales Units.  Assists the Marketing Training Manager, National Director of Training, Regional & National Sales and Marketing Leadership, VP and Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, in the standardization of training new hire marketing agents and managers.  Provides resources in mentoring, and successfully facilitates the “train the trainer” critical path to success.

  • Works closely with Business Unit Director of Marketing Training, Marketing Leadership, Regional Business Unit VP and VP of Sales & Marketing Training, in order to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all local, regional, and national training.  
  • Carries out specific duties according to the established SOPs, which includes daily training sessions according to the sites’ needs and scheduling and ensuring coverage of RBU trainings needs.  To coordinate site, regional or Regional Business Unit (RBU) priority trainings as needed.
  • Develops and manages new special projects as assigned by Business Unit Director of Marketing Training, VP of Training, or Business Unit VP.
  • Develops and monitors a Training Library and curriculum.
  • Develops individual and/or group training in alignment of the DRI presentation.  Ensures that all technology devices are used properly and are supplied for most effective training.
  • Improves current sales processes through mentoring of site’s Sales Managers.
  • Performs specific projects to assist Business Unit Director of Marketing Training, VPs, and Senior VP of Sales & Marketing, and Marketing Leadership. 
  • Builds relationships.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience in the marketing field required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
  • This position does not require licenses or certifications.
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Language:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex body language.  Ability to respond pro-actively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. 
  • Must be an effective communicator, with excellent oral and written skills.
  • Extremely strong PC Skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word are a must.  Computer knowledge must be strong, with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Power Point presentations.  Must be able to maneuver through the Company’s Corporate intranet, and other industry-related websites.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Understands how to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
