Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction, the Senior Suite Attendant is responsible for providing direction and assistance to Junior Suite Attendants assuring that all assignments have been completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures, federal, state, and local authority guidelines to ensure a clean, sanitary and inviting suite/resort.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Possess full knowledge of all matters relating to proper cleaning techniques.
  • Ensures that all member, owner, and guest requests are satisfied in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Checks Junior Specialist carts to make sure linen, supplies, and amenities are properly stocked.
  • Receives room assignments from Housekeeping Manager and designates specific cleaning duties.
  • Attends daily pre-shift Housekeeping meeting.
  • Performs housewares inventory according to the approved check list for each unit cleaned.
  • Completes replacement request and billing form for any missing or broken housewares, supplies and forwards it to the Housekeeping Manager immediately.
  • Inspects each guest unit for cleanliness using the room inspection process after cleaning.
  • Furnishes any missing items to the guest unit immediately.
  • Reviews the daily performance statistics with Junior Suite Attendants.
  • Ensures that guest corridors remain free of dirty linen and bagged garbage throughout the day.
  • Assists with any cleaning project assignments or priorities of the day.
  • Responsible for team member attendance to all training sessions.
  • Cleans guest units alone during off season.
  • Completes safety training in compliance policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Reports unsafe work conditions/practices and safety/security violations in accordance to policy.
  • Performs routine maintenance and cleaning on housekeeping equipment to include, but not limited to, vacuums, housekeeping carts, furniture, and fixtures in assigned areas in accordance with standard operating procedures and work practices.
  • Completes and/or assists Housekeeping Manager with any cleaning project work and/or special projects with appropriate training.
  • Attends and participates in all mandatory meetings and on-going training sessions.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of six (6) months of professional cleaning experience required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in the professional cleaning field required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides immediate supervision to direct reports.  Oversees and controls the work performance of others in a close working relationship, often in the same room or close proximity.  A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks similar to those performed by direct reports.  May participate in the interview, selection and training processes as assigned.  May be responsible for assigning work to direct reports, reviewing results in accordance to policies and procedures, and providing recommendations to management.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Driver’s License (non-commercial) – must be state specific.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices.  Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
